A Business Man Kidnapped in Cross River State

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Akito Rentals in Cross River, Mr Sunday Ekanem has been kidnapped.

He was kidnapped at his residence, Atu Street in Calabar South local government area of Cross River State by 8.30pm on Saturday.

This is the second time Mr. Ekanem is kidnapped, having been abducted before in November 2014.

A source, who also pleaded for anonymity, said that three strange vehicles were seen close to the victim’s office at Atu Street.

“One person was seen inside one of the cars making phone calls, apparently giving information to some other persons,” he said.

Akito’s wife, Glory Sunday confirmed the kidnap, saying she was called and informed about the development.

“I was informed as you were informed”, she simply told DAILY POST on phone and declined further comment.

When contacted on phone, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ms Irene Igbo expressed surprise about the kidnap but said it had not been reported at the time of filling this report.

“Another kidnap, I am not aware, I am only aware of the Igbo guys that were kidnapped. They have not reported yet”, she stated. (Source: dailypost.ng)
