The Newly Elected President of Gambia-Adama Barrow Visits Nigeria

The Newly Elected President of Gambia – Adama Barrow after succeeding at the poles, pays a courtesy visit to Nigeria. The President met with President Muhammadu Buhari in a closed door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. 

After the meeting, the Gambian President in a chat with State House correspondents, used the opportunity to thank Nigeria for the support given to his country. Saying;

“My visit is very important to us. We have always wanted to say thank you when Nigeria gave us all the support during and after the impasse. Nigeria has been supportive of Gambia for a long time in different areas like technical assistance, in the area of education, judiciary. We are really happy to come’’.

Meanwhile, President Buhari on his Official twitter page, vowed to continue with the collaboration between the two countries.
